PCB ASSEMBLY / ENGINEERING & PROCUREMENT
Templates & Terminology
Use consistent terms and a clean assembly handoff.
Start with these checks
- BOM identifies what to fit; CPL describes where to place it.
- DNP positions remain visible in the release even when not populated.
- An RFQ should state scope, quantities, target delivery and acceptance criteria.
Turn the review into a build decision
Keep decisions in the approved build package rather than scattered across messages. Identify the board revision, the person responsible for the decision and any conditions the assembler must follow. Where a process limit or standard applies, confirm the current requirement with the responsible manufacturer or specification owner.
Continue the project review
Review tools. Use the file checklist to keep the release complete and the templates and tools to organize the handoff.
