PCB ASSEMBLY / ENGINEERING & PROCUREMENT

BGA, QFN & Fine Pitch

Prepare bottom-terminated devices for assembly and inspection.

Start with these checks

  • Use the specific device documentation for land-pattern decisions.
  • Confirm via treatment with both the fabricator and assembler.
  • Specify hidden-joint inspection and electrical verification.

Turn the review into a build decision

Keep decisions in the approved build package rather than scattered across messages. Identify the board revision, the person responsible for the decision and any conditions the assembler must follow. Where a process limit or standard applies, confirm the current requirement with the responsible manufacturer or specification owner.

Continue the project review

Review bga assembly. Use the file checklist to keep the release complete and the templates and tools to organize the handoff.
