PCB ASSEMBLY / ENGINEERING & PROCUREMENT
Through-Hole & Mixed Assembly
Plan insertion, mechanical fit and soldering sequence.
Start with these checks
- Document component seating heights and connector orientation.
- Ask for a process review of access, thermal mass and heat-sensitive parts.
- Define cleaning, trimming and inspection requirements.
Turn the review into a build decision
Keep decisions in the approved build package rather than scattered across messages. Identify the board revision, the person responsible for the decision and any conditions the assembler must follow. Where a process limit or standard applies, confirm the current requirement with the responsible manufacturer or specification owner.
Continue the project review
Review through hole assembly. Use the file checklist to keep the release complete and the templates and tools to organize the handoff.
