PCB ASSEMBLY / ENGINEERING & PROCUREMENT

Testing & Quality

Choose verification methods and define acceptance.

Start with these checks

  • Separate inspection coverage from functional test coverage.
  • Provide firmware, fixtures and measurable pass/fail limits.
  • Ask how defects, rework and retest results are recorded.

Turn the review into a build decision

Keep decisions in the approved build package rather than scattered across messages. Identify the board revision, the person responsible for the decision and any conditions the assembler must follow. Where a process limit or standard applies, confirm the current requirement with the responsible manufacturer or specification owner.

Continue the project review

Review pcb testing inspection. Use the file checklist to keep the release complete and the templates and tools to organize the handoff.
