PCB ASSEMBLY / FROM DESIGN FILES TO FINISHED BOARDS[email protected]
PCB ASSEMBLY / ENGINEERING & PROCUREMENT

DFM, DFA & DFT

Review fabrication, assembly access and test coverage together.

Start with these checks

  • Check that board, placement, BOM and drawings share a revision.
  • Discuss handling rails, fiducials and component access with the assembler.
  • Design test access around the actual verification method.

Turn the review into a build decision

Keep decisions in the approved build package rather than scattered across messages. Identify the board revision, the person responsible for the decision and any conditions the assembler must follow. Where a process limit or standard applies, confirm the current requirement with the responsible manufacturer or specification owner.

Continue the project review

Review file requirements. Use the file checklist to keep the release complete and the templates and tools to organize the handoff.
